Back to Reality
Well, my beach vacation is over now, and it is time to get back to my real life. My favorite beach activity was sitting at the water's edge with my toes in the ocean watching the people and the surf. My sister-in-law and I were doing just that in this picture taken by her husband (thanks, Lew!). For maybe the first time ever, we could sit on the beach and be totally unaware of how long we had been there and even what time it was! (The only horrible flaw in this plan reared its ugly head when the sunburn appeared!) We chatted for hours enjoying each other's company and the feel of the breeze, sun and surf. We took it as a sign to go back inside when the rising tide chased us back up the beach to our shoes.

Awh...well I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation. Coming back is always too hard.
I bet you remembered everything to bring except the SPF30. Shame you couldn't just stay there and enjoy. It looks lovely.
We did have on sunscreen but when one is busy losing track of the time, reapplying is the furthest thing from your mind!
beautiful looking beach - that's for the pic!
yea......beach......don't make me remember my holidays.......i can't take a leave for long now....
woo hoo \,,,/
Sounds very relaxing to me. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for taking the time to comment.
Sounds wonderful, glad to hear you had a good time! Welcome back.
Hi Maggie! I came across your blog while noodling around on the internet - so glad I did. Sounds like you're doing wonderful! That trip you and Karen took to the Shenandoah Valley is the same place Bob and I go a lot because he has good friends in Staunton and Waynesboro. In fact, we're going down there weekend after this one. Today, I'm babysitting little Mikey (2 years old). He's so cute! Carson and big Mikey are doing well, Anne and Randy (married 2 years now, as Carson and Mikey have) are fine (no kids yet) and Chris and his fiance, Sarah, are getting married the Saturday after Thanksgiving this year.
Jimmy is 19? Can't be true!
Remember all the fun times we had in the lab? (Well, some fun times, anyway!)
Let me know how the fall is going. This Sunday, I'll be 60! What a thought! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Roz
Holy cow, Roz, I can't believe you are turning 60! I remember when you turned 50, though, I did not believe that either, and it certainly does not seem like 10 yrs has passed.
Sounds like your kids are doing great!
I do remember the great times in the lab, but I would not go back there for anything.
