A Facebook friend invited me to join a group of jewelry makers, which would post pictures of some daily progress toward our line of jewelry. I joined with an enthusiasm that I hope will last. That got me thinking that my first "goal" will be to try a lot of the new techniques that I have been meaning to try. I have started jotting down ideas, mostly in the jewelry realm because I wanted to be prepared for daily jewelry progress.
I also searched Ravelry looking at knitting patterns, and set up a queue of projects many of which involve techniques I want to either learn or really improve in. As a start, I am working on these colorwork mittens:

Then Santa got me some sock yarn, needles and a book about knitting socks from the toe up, so I started on these babies:

Anyway, so goal one is Try New Things. We'll see how far I get.

Wow, you've really gotten good at knitting since you started, I love those mittens that are going to be awesome when you're finished! Missing you, I need to get out of my slacker funk too. I think we may need to resurrect our (Y) days soon! :) Happy New Year, Mags!
