I am currently involved in a Knitpicks KAL with the Knitting at Large group on Ravelry. We are knitting sweaters either using Knitpicks yarn or pattern. I have started 2- one using both yarn and pattern, the other just yarn and a pattern from another source.
So this is the start of my Conic, which is a shrug designed by Cookie A. This is the no-Knitpicks pattern. The yarn is Knitpicks Palette in a color I think is called mulberry.
This is a cabled panel that runs up the back, then you kit the sleeves onto it. I am not positive if a shrug will be flattering on me or not. I figure if I don't like it on me I can give it away to the first person I find who can look good in it.
On a side note, I finished a few things this week that were from previous on the needle posts. I finished my Carnation Vest, and wore it the other day when it was the coldest it has been in 2 years:
I also finished the fingerless mitts I was working on:
Go on over to Patchwork Times and see what's on the needles today!

Beautiful work! Love the mitts, I could use a pair of those while I'm at work, my hands are always cold when I work on the computer. The cables in the vest are gorgeous!
I love the cables on that vest. They always make anything look a little bit extra special I think.
WOW!! You sure have been super busy! I love your vest, I bet it kept you really warm. Those mitts are so cute and I can't wait to see the new shrug. The color is beautiful.
I agree - beautiful work. Love the Vest.
Your are an accomplished knitter, I think! Your work is beautiful. Love your fingerless gloves - my color too.
What a timely finish to get your vest done in this cold weather! For awhile there I was caught up in the fleece craze, but one very cold day I put on an old wool sweater and was instantly so much warmer! My 9 year old son is very thin and often cold - he loves to wear vests. Nice projects all around! Cheers! Evelyn
