On the Needles Friday Feb 15, 2013

Last night I added the 2nd color to my Zephyr Cove shawl.  It wasn't really time yet, but I started to get scared I would run out of the main color before I got any stripes knit.  Someone on Ravelry gave me advice on how to make the lace part work out, so I think I will be good.

Over the weekend, I read a blog post encouraging people to knit what makes them happy.  It was a reminder that there are no knitting police, so who cares how many projects I might have on the needles (its lucky 13 if you find you do care) or how much stash someone has or whatever.  Its a hobby so I need to do what makes me happy.  So I cast on this crazy pair of socks.

The pattern is Monkey by Cookie A and I have already knit this one twice, but I really enjoy knitting it.  The yarn is from Holiday Yarns in a colorway made custom for the store where I bought it.

Check out Patchwork Times to see what others have on their needles!

I really like the yarn you're using for your socks. The cowl is gorgeous, too.

I can't quite figure out what is going on with the shawl, but I like the color combination.

The socks are amazing!
